I stumbled across this today, and it kind of blew my mind. Simple and stunning – the works of German artist Cornelia Konrads seem magical. She creates site specific installations in public places / gardens etc… and wow – they look amazing, take a look for yourself:

EcoArt – Haroshi
The brand new set of works from Japanese artist Haroshi look absolutly stunning.
Haroshi makes his art pieces recycling old used skateboards. His creations are born through styles such as wooden mosaic, dots, and pixels; where each element, either cut out in different shapes or kept in their original form, are connected in different styles, and shaven into the form of the final art piece. Haroshi became infatuated with skateboarding in his early teens, and is still a passionate skater at present.
You can see more of this amazing work on his facebook.
David Lu – Folding Maps
There is something simply mesmerising about geometry, something that Kate Moross has pioneered. I stumbled across the amazing work of David Lu today, i need to learn to fold this way…
You can see more of David’s work on his Flickr.
The Art of Time Lapse
Im sure everyone in the world has seen some sort of time lapse ‘light graffiti’… but this, this is something completely different. Something MUCH more beautiful, natural and actually amazing.
Taken in and around Maniwa and Okayama Prefecture in Japan between 2008-2011.

Gradients
I find it incredible how something so simple can create such an amazing visual. At uni, i remember my tutor telling me one day that he spent the evening arranging his vinyl record collection – kind of strange as it had no relevance to what we were doing, it turned out that he arranged every record by colour – such a simple idea but had such a great effect…
Amaze : Twixtor
There’s always something special about watching things in slow motion. Its almost as if there’s another world out there that we just cant see, movements that never happened.
Now obviously there is a bit of a difference in what Twixtor does and a true slow motion camera – but for me, its a pretty good alternative.
Using a decent camera you are able to mimic 1000/2000fps, The example below… a GoPro, is only shooting at 60fps. When put through the Twixtor plugin, this is increased to 2000fps, so thats a HUGE difference.
After doing some research (clicking a few different youtube videos) you can quickly see that not all examples of this software are actually as beautiful as this, and there are definitely certain factors that make a better end result – but it definitely seems worth a try.
EDIT – so for some reason my video wont post – but its worth a look … watch it here

So im not really sure what this blog will be about yet – in the mean time, it can be a collection of things i find, do, like and dislike every day…
I got something free in the post today – a pin from Kate Moross, if you haven’t heard of her, where have you been! Kate is a hugely talented young designer / art director , check out some of her work HERE. Makes a nice addition to the screen don’t you think?
